Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 5 Experience: Minimum 3 years in sterile processing License: Required certifications must be either CBSPD or CRCST Certifications: CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA Must-Have: Experience with decontamination of surgical instruments and equipment Experience assembling and sterilizing instruments Knowledge of sterilization processes including steam and Sterrad Experience with high-level disinfection and scope reprocessing Familiarity with a tracking system such as Censitrac Experience in a Level One trauma facility Description: We are seeking experienced Sterile Processing Technicians to join our surgical services team. Candidates must have expertise in all areas of sterile processing, including decontamination, assembly, and sterilization. Experience with various surgical instruments and equipment, including robotic systems, is essential. High-level disinfection and scope reprocessing knowledge are required. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in using tracking systems for instrumentation management. The ideal candidate will have worked in a high-volume trauma facility and possess a comprehensive understanding of sterile processing protocols. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments.
